Featuring Liane Carroll, Simon Purcell, Julian Siegel, Loz Garratt , and Mark Taylor this new group features some of the UK’s most acclaimed artists and needs little introduction, suffice to say that the music is vibrant, personalised, improvised, and inspired by the jazz tradition. To be fair, the group isn’t entirely new, Liane, Simon, Julian and Loz have been performing together for many years at East Side’s  founder Clive Fenner’s amazing summer schools.

They are especially pleased to welcome drummer Mark Taylor, recently returned from 30+ years in New York where he worked with “everybody”, from Kenny Barron, George Coleman, Johnny Griffin, Pharaoh Sanders, Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen, Ray Brown, Harry ‘Sweets’ Edison, Andrew Hill and many more – even
