Finn Genockey is a drummer / composer from London currently studying in his fourth year at the Guildhall School of Music. Since starting drums at the age of 6, Finn has had plenty of experience performing regularly with some of the most notable jazz artists such as Rufus Reid and Stan Sulzmann at some of the country’s top jazz venues such as Ronnie Scott’s, Pizza Express Soho and Vortex as well as across the world in places such as Germany, France and the Caribbean. He also regularly writes music for the ensembles he runs: including his own 20-piece Jazz Orchestra, The London Intercollegiate Jazz Orchestra which he recently founded for a debut performance for EFG Jazz Festival 2023 as well as the international group: ‘Inc Quartet’.
He can be heard on a wide variety of recordings from Emma Rawicz’s debut album: “Incantation” to Orla Gartland’s hit single: “I Go Crazy” and is the curator of Nostra Jazz on Old Street.
Josh Short has come a long way in a short time being lead trumpet in Charles Tolliver’s Big Band homage to Max Roach during the last EFG London Jazz Festival.
Born and raised in a musical family in rural Denmark, pianist, composer and improviser Rasmus Sørensen moved to New York City in 2018 and has since gained wide recognition for his accessible yet forward-looking sound both as a musician and composer.. He has his own trio , quartet and quintet as well as playing with many other bands throughout Europe and the US
